Inter are weighing up a move for Genoa centre back Cristian Romero according to a report from Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter consider the 20-year-old an interesting prospect and should he further confirm his quality between now and the end of the season, Inter could become concretely interested in him with a view to signing him during the summer transfer window.

Despite only recently signing a new contract, Miranda could still leave the club amid interest from his native Brazil while Andrea Ranocchia’s contract is expiring. With both of these things in mind, it is important for Inter to think about potential replacements. In fact, Romero could even overtake Joachim Andersen, who could become too expensive for Inter due to the wealth of interest in his services.

The Argentine youth international has made eight appearances since his summer arrival from Belgrano where he has scored one goal and tallied one assist.
