Andrea Ranocchia could be set to make his first appearance of the season for Inter in Saturday’s match away to Chievo Verona according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will slightly rotate the team presumably to ensure certain players are in top condition for the boxing day fixture with Napoli.

Miranda should have been in in place of Stefan de Vrij but due to picking up a muscle strain in training yesterday, it has opened up an opportunity for Ranocchia to come in instead and partner Milan Skriniar at the heart of the defence.

Roberto Gagliardini will be granted a start as will Radja Nainggolan who has now recovered from injury while Marcelo Brozovic and Joao Mario will start from the bench.

Inter Predicted Starting Line-up (4-2-3-1): Samir Handanovic; Sime Vrsaljko, Andrea Ranocchia, Milan Skriniar, Danilo D’Ambrosio; Roberto Gagliardini, Borja Valero; Matteo Politano, Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic; Mauro Icardi.
