Ferri: “Inter Must Keep Skriniar, He Can Become Like Ramos & Thiago Silva”

Riccardo Ferri talked about Milan Skriniar in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport. He had nothing but praise for the Slovakian who is continuing to show everyone that he has world class abilities.

“Milan Skriniar’s quality has been clear since the day of his debut. When he came from Sampdoria, he was used to a certain level of pressure, but it is evident that he could handle any amount of pressure thrown at him. He showed up at the San Siro and showed everyone what he is made of. He showed a high level of maturity and was able to grow match after match, he said.

“We often talk about strikers who bring out the best in their teammates, but in this case we are talking about a defender who can do that. Skriniar makes everyone around him play well as he makes life easier for those around him. I have heard of the mention of his value being close to 100 million, but I cannot say if that is real, but I do have a comparison to make: Bonucci was sold to Milan at 30 years old for around 40 million.

“Well, today Skriniar is 23 years old, mature, has the quality, and has huge room for improvement. He can have a career similar to those of Sergio Ramos and Thiago Silva. For those reasons, I hope Inter can keep a hold of the player and make him a pillar for the future. A player of his quality is very hard to find.”
