With the January transfer window now underway, Gazzetta dello Sport have examined some of the early rumours, some of which concern Inter.
It is no secret that Real Madrid are looking for a striker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo and their search has led them to Inter’s Mauro Icardi among others, including Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek. The Milan based newspaper however report that it is ‘impractical’ for either of these players to make a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this month.
The report also touches upon Adrien Rabiot, who has come in to links with Inter in recent months. The Frenchman’s contract is expiring with Paris St. Germain and he appears set for a switch to Barcelona. Rather than waiting until the summer, Barcelona are planning to hold talks with PSG to discuss the possibility of bringing Rabiot to Camp Nou this month.
Moreover, the report discusses Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil. The German play maker, who has drawn interest from Inter, is wanting to play regular football as a starter and could move away from the Gunners on loan.
