The transfer market will officially open tomorrow and will be open until January 31st. In theory, Inter probably won’t make any big moves, due to restrictions concerning Financial Fair Play and having a squad that is big enough to contest for Europa League.
However according to Italian media outlet La Stampa, Inter have been following Tottenham’s Belgian midfielder, Mousa Dembele who is currently out with an injury. Along with Dembele, Inter also has been tracking Matteo Darmian from Manchester United, who is also being closely monitored by fellow Serie A side, Lazio.
Dembele, aged 31 years old, is currently with Tottenham, and has a contract that is set to expire in June of 2019, making him eligible to leave the London based club free of charge under the Bosman ruling when his contract expires. Inter may try to expedite that process by purchasing him from Tottenham this January instead as there has not yet been an agreement regarding a renewal.
Matteo Darmian’s contract with Manchester United also expires this June making him eligible for a free transfer as well.
