Spalletti Must Recover Nainggolan Or Risks Losing Ability To Request Players For Inter

Luciano Spalletti’s ability to request players could be reduced particularly if he is unable to recover Radja Nainggolan according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Spallettii specifically requested Nainggolan and pressed Inter management to sign the Belgian midfielder who he got the best out of while together at Roma. Since arriving at Inter however, Nainggolan has been bothered by various injuries and has ultimately not performed as many would have expected him to have.

In 16 appearances across all competitions, the 30-year-old has contributed just three goals and no assists. In addition to poor performances on the pitch, Nainggolan was also suspended for disciplinary reasons by the club as a result of turning up to training late on several occasions.

If Spalletti manages to recover Nainggolan, the Inter management will essentially turn a blind eye and Spalletti should keep his ability to request players to strengthen the team going forward.
