Having today added Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to their ranks, Flamengo have now made a move for Inter defender Miranda as per a report from Brazilian news outlet Globo Esporte.

The Brazilian defender’s contract expires in the Summer of 2020 but the Rubro-Negro are not wanting to run the risk of trying to acquire him on a free as they would more than likely face heightened competition for his signature.

Flamengo have already made an offer of around €4 million and are now just waiting on a response from the Nerazzurri club. The early feeling is that Inter are wanting more for the veteran and talks between the two clubs are set to continue.

The report goes on to state that Miranda has interest in his services from Europe and Asia and he is not immediately interested in returning to his homeland.

Miranda has saw a reduced amount of playing time this season and it is understood that he is looking to move away and could be among a few players in Luciano Spalletti’s squad to do so this window.
