Roma sporting director has again discussed the arrival of Nicolo Zaniolo at the club in the Summer as part of the deal that sent Radja Nainggolan to Inter.
“Zaniolo, considering his performances, will probably be the first renewal we will deal with. I was not expecting him to do what he has.
“In the beginning Inter did not want to include him in the Nainggolan negotiations, Ausilio had raised a wall, but they wanted Radja. Once Strootman was sold we understood that it was the perfect moment to keep him [Zaniolo]. Italy needs to rebuild trust in youngsters but with Nicolo we have to be calm, for his own sake, as he is only 19-years-old,” the Spaniard told Gazzetta dello Sport.
He also went on to speak about Nainggolan and his quality but also the main downfall to the Belgian midfielder.
“Sure, Radja is a strong player but the problem is managing him.”
