Inter are ready to increase their contract renewal offer for club captain Mauro Icardi according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Reports in recent days and his wife/agent Wanda Nara too for that matter have stated that there is a large distance between the supply and demand.

In the next meeting, Inter will make an improved offer to the captain consisting of a €6.5 million annual salary plus bonuses.

The offer is unlikely to appease Icardi though as Wanda is understood to be pushing to bring her client’s salary in line with other Serie A stars. In return, she will ask Inter raise their offer to €8 million plus bonuses that would take his total salary to €10 million.

Icardi, who is currently contract to the club until the end of the 2020/21 season, has been with Inter since 2013 and has made over 200 appearances for the club wherein he has scored no less than 104 across all competitions.
