The summit between Inter and Wanda Nara to discuss Mauro Icardi’s renewal is set for Tuesday according to Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to the report: “It will not be a decisive meeting, but it will be very indicative of the type of route that will lead to the conclusion of this ongoing issue,” who also underlines the “signs of peace” after the few days of unrest.
There will be three people present at Tuesday’s meeting: Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio and Wanda Nara, where there is the hope an agreement can be reached and therefore the more technical meetings can be set with the likes of Giovanni Gardini, and the specialists who work alongside Wanda; Letterio Pino and Ulisse Savini.
Inter wanted to sit down to discuss the contract not only with Wanda, but with the entire Icardi entourage, and despite Wanda’s request, the club’s strategy is to hold off, despite the willingness from Inter to guarantee Icardi a salary that is worthy of the top players in the Italian championship.
The references to Dybala and Higuain are not accidental, it is thought they can come to an agreement around €7 million, getting rid of the release clause. Inter will also request for the Icardi family to keep talks of contracts and negotiations out of the public eye in future.
