Inter chief executive Alessandro Antonello has spoken on Inter’s goals as part of an interview with leadersinsport’s You Tube channel as part of their “5 minutes with…” series.

“Our greatest achievement in the past year was the return to the Champions League. It was part of our strategy right from the start of the last season, it was very nice and we are happy for us and our fans,” he started.

“The biggest challenge for Suning was to change the club from a family business to an international club. It’s a process that started in 2016. Now we have to focus on our new challenges for the future.

“I am honoured to lead this process and work with Chinese ownership that has a different culture but puts a lot of passion and support into the club, which gives us the opportunity to expand our fan base, increase revenues and look to the future positively.

“Our objectives are clear. We wish to grow the fan base, increase revenues and grow the brand. The Inter brand means respecting our history and legacy from the past. We have to look to the future trying to be more modern, combining Italian style and keeping our history in mind.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on Inter’s Media House.

“It has been a key step for us.  The idea is to keep all the fans close to the club, not just those who have opportunity to come to San Siro. We want to create all the digital content dedicated to our fans in the world to keep them united to us and give an experience even to those who are not at the stadium can experience. It is a key objective of ours. The biggest challenge is to create innovative content, and today everyone can create it on a digital level, but we want to create a different perspective on life at the club.”
