Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani has confirmed that defender Andrew Gravillon will be joining Inter despite interest in his services from Napoli.
“He is a great player and he is destined to join Inter. There will not be any problems in closing the operation between the two clubs,” he admitted in an interview with CalcioNapoli24.
The Guadelopean defender is an academy graduate of the Nerazzurri but was a victim of Inter’s need to raise funds for financial fair play, a large chunk of which came through the sales of young players from their academy structure.
This season he has made 20 appearances across all competitions for the Delfini where he has scored two goals in 1830 minutes of action.
Sebastiani also commented on the recent racial incidents at Italian football grounds in the past few weeks, the most high profile of which coming during Inter and Napoli on boxing day and did not hold back when condemning the offenders.
“We must punish those responsible. We must not close the stadiums due to racist idiots.”
