In the past few days, officials from both Inter and Sassuolo have met to discuss the redemption of Matteo Politano, who joined the Nerazzurri in the Summer as per a report from Tuttosport.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio met with Sassuolo chief executive Giovanni Carnevali for lunch to hold talks about the Italian international.

The redemption figure is currently set at €20 million but Inter could attempt to bring this figure down by sending a young player or young players to the Neroverdi. Zinho Vanheusden, Andrea Pinamonti and Xian Emmers are all possibilities.

Politano was not the only reason the pair met, the Turin based newspaper adds.

While meeting, Ausilio also made an enquiry about the availability of Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan, who is an Inter academy graduate.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian midfielder left Inter for Sampdoria in the Summer of 2015 and joined his current employers initially on loan just weeks after joining. He then completed a permanent switch to the MAPEI Stadium outfit the following year.
