Inter will meet with Wanda Icardi to continue contract talks over a new deal for her husband and client Mauro Icardi either tomorrow or the day after according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri leadership are determined to strike an agreement and put an end to what have been some very drawn out negotiations lasting months with many delays. Inter are keen to avoid delays and president Steven Zhang, prior to leaving for China urged management to cool the recent tension and find an agreement.

At the moment there are no other offers on the table for Icardi, who is currently contracted to Inter until the end of the 2020/21 season, but it is clear that he is a tempting player for many clubs due to his release clause.

There is some distance between Inter’s offer and Wanda’s demands for her client and Gazzetta suggest that bonuses will play an important part. Moreover, with regards to the aforementioned release clause, Inter wish to remove it but need to understand how much Wanda will alter the demands to facilitate this request.
