Inter have knocked back an offer to sign Arsenal star Mesut Ozil according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

The London club proposed the German to the Nerazzurri but it is not disclosed in the report why Inter decided against taking them up on their offer.

The 30-year-old playmaker is enduring a difficult spell finding himself in and out of the team constantly under Unai Emery, who took over from the long-serving Arsene Wenger during the Summer.

This season Ozil has made 16 appearances across all competitions scoring four goals and tallying two assists in just over 1100 minutes of action.

The report also goes on to discuss Mauro Icardi and the current situation with regard to him renewing his contract with the club.

There is a meeting planned between Inter and his wife/agent Wanda Icardi although there is no date for it yet. Wanda is now waiting a call from Inter.
