According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, Inter have set their sights on signing FC Lorient youngster Julien Ponceau.

“The boy, who Inter have already watched a couple of times and really like, represents a concrete goal for the Nerazzurri who could sign him and leave him on loan for (at least) another season in France,” the report explains.

The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract with the Brittany based club almost a year ago in what was described by the club as a deal lasting ‘several seasons.’

A central midfielder by trade, Ponceau is also capable of playing out on the right of the pitch and has made 13 appearances across all competitions for Les Merlus this season, nine of which as a starter. In 820 minutes of action the teen has contributed one goal.

Ponceau’s performances have not gone unnoticed and he is part of the France under 20 setup and has five caps to date.
