Nino Cicarelli, one of the leaders of one of Inter’s leading ultra groups Viking, will be interrogated by investigators over the ugly scenes that preceded Inter’s 1-0 win over Napoli on boxing day according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Cicarelli has been imprisoned since last Thursday and will be given another opportunity to explain to investigating judge Guido Salvini what happened having already denied any involvement, this despite visible wounds.

Prior to the match, ultras from both Inter and Napoli clashed near to San Siro. Three Napoli fans were stabbed and Inter ultra Daniele Belardinelli was run over and killed.

Luca Da Ros, another Inter ultra being held in connection with the fighting, brought Cicarelli’s name to the investigators attention and claimed that Cicarelli was one of the main organisers of the violence.

The report goes on to add that further arrivals in prison are expected in the coming days as police continue to try and identify people involved.
