Radja Nainggolan has urged himself and teammates to redeem themselves in the next match against Lazio having suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss away to Torino tonight.

“It is a very difficult result to accept and to concede a goal from a dead ball…We had some chances that we could have done better with and scored but now we have to work. We now have the Coppa Italia coming up where we have to redeem ourselves immediately. I think and I hope that by working well we can get more satisfaction,” he told Inter TV post-match.

“Torino are team that fights every game to pick up points. They are a difficult team to face particularly for a team like us who like to be high up the field. You can never relax as they go at it for the full ninety minutes. Maybe we conceded the goal out of carelessness and then the game changed and this is an aspect that we have to work on.”

The Belgian midfielder, who came off the bench tonight, then spoke on the importance of Inter’s upcoming matches in all competitions.

“Every match for us must be played like a final. The Coppa Italia has become an important competition for us and its the quickest way for us to win something. While we are in the Champions League places, we have to be careful. Those behind us are coming and we must never relax, it all depends on us. We have a good advantage but can lose it if we don’t perform for two to three matches. We all have to give something more.

He concluded the interview by speaking on his physical condition.

I am following a particular schedule. I am trying to become 100% available and I hope to be a new protagonist and important for this team.”
