Corriere dello Sport have brought an update on ways in which Ivan Perisic could leave Inter for Arsenal.
The Croatian winger wants out of Inter, as confirmed yesterday by Inter CEO Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta, and Inter are looking to sell him outright or move him on through a loan with redemption obligation.
Arsenal are currently only willing to sign Perisic on loan with a redemption option for a figure between €35-40 million.
The Rome based newspaper state that the Gunners offered Inter Mesut Ozil but it is not easy to make ends meet due to the fact the German midfielder earns double what Perisic does.
The only way a deal could take place could be through an exchange of loans with Inter continuing to pay Perisic and Arsenal continuing to pay Ozil.
Corriere dello Sport then go on to report that Yannick Carrasco – who Inter have identified as Perisic’s replacement – could arrive regardless, even if Perisic doesn’t leave. Agent Federico Pastorello has brokered a deal between Inter and Dalian Yifang that would see Carrasco and Antonio Candreva swap clubs. Carrasco currently earns a bumper salary in China while Candreva would not be tempted to go to China unless he receives a huge salary himself.
