Former Inter director Marco Branca has spoken on the current state of the club, firstly discussing want-away duo Ivan Perisic and Matias Vecino where he made it clear that he doesn’t have any inside information despite his past with the club.
“Perisic and Vecino want to leave? I don’t know what has really happened,” Branca said in an interview with RMC Sport.
Next he spoke on Inter’s performances this season and the Coppa Italia.
“Inter are better than last year but the fact that there is always a drop in mentality and application is worrying.
“Inter must do their best in the Coppa Italia. First and foremost it is a trophy and winning a trophy will help make the team better and grow.”
He concluded the interview by denying that Inter are being hurt by the lack of Italians in the squad.
“It is not a question of nationality. When I was at Inter Dejan Stankovic was there and he was an exemplary professional, I believe that Milan Skriniar is also like that.
“Winning depends on the faculty of learning and the correct application from the players. If the correct application is there and the team learn quickly then they will develop but if they do not have these features they will hit a hitch.”
