Inter Evaluating The Entire Squad – Revolution In The Summer

Everyone is under evaluation, primarily Luciano Spalletti, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, as Conte’s shadow looms over Appiano Gentile.

Spalletti must not only deliver in the league but the board now demand a trophy from either the Coppa Italia or the Europa League.

Today is the quarter final of the Coppa against Lazio at San Siro and after a chaotic transfer window, Spalletti’s most difficult job will be motivating the whole team, since they have now been divided into three categories.

Those Who Will Stay: There should be no surprises in this category: Icardi, Skriniar, Brozovic, Handanovic, Asamoah, De Vrij, Lautaro and Politano, will form the base upon which Inter plan to build from. Even though the Nerazzurri anticipate great offers for the likes of Brozovic and Skriniar in the Summer, they have zero intention of letting their best players leave.

The Unknown’s – The futures of Nainggolan, D’Ambrosio, Dalbert, Cedric and Keita are all on the brink of either staying or leaving. The impact of Radja in Milano has so far been underwhelming, due to both physical and behavioral issues.

D’Ambrosio is also asking for a renewal but this does not seem to be a priority for the club. Dalbert has not been able to fully convince anyone, so the coming months will be decisive for his Inter career, same goes for Cedric, who just arrived on loan.

Finally, Keita showed his quality but his €34 million redemption clause set by Monaco is a big obstacle, so Inter are working on making it more affordable, perhaps by offering Miranda?

Those Who Will Leave – Miranda, Perisic, Joao Mario, Borja Valero and unfortunately Vrsaljko. Vecino and Gagliardini are also both on the list with the Italian midfielder having offers from the Premier League, La Liga and Fiorentina already. Padelli, Berni and Ranocchia have expiring contracts which aren’t being discussed for renewal but there could be a surprise in June for one of them at least.
