Following the closure of the January transfer window yesterday night, Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have given Inter’s January transfer window a 6/10 rating.

Inter made just the one signing during the window in Cedric Soares from Premier League club Southampton in a month that was largely dominated by reports that Ivan Perisic was desperate to leave the club amidst links to Arsenal. In the end, club president Steven Zhang opted against letting anybody leave the club.

There was a lot of news concerning Diego Godin too. Many reports in the media suggested Inter have struck a pre-contract agreement with the Uruguayan centre back although there was no official announcement of such an agreement during the window.
