Atalanta defender Gianluca Mancini has addressed the reported interest in his services from a whole host of clubs including Inter.

“The transfer rumours? I am calm and thinking only about Atalanta. It is normal that there is interest. I was pleased to learn about the interest from some teams that are watching me, but I know I am in a strong club already. Today I think only about Atalanta. The present builds the future so I have to do well here in Bergamo,” he said in an interview with Sky Sport.

He also spoke briefly on the alleged links to Inter: “My family were Interisti but now they are fans of Ataltan because I play for them.”

In conclusion he was asked if he feared leaving Atalanta wherein he heaped praise on manager Gian Piero Gasperini.

“Am I afraid to leave Atalanta? Gasperini is the secret here in Bergamo. He makes everyone here get used to working. You can make mistakes here unlike elsewhere. We will see what happens in the future.”
