Former Inter striker Julio Cruz has looked ahead to this weekend’s clash between Inter and another of his former clubs, Bologna.
“It will be a difficult match. Inter and Bologna are two clubs that have a place in my heart and now my friend Sinisa Mihajlovic is in charge of the Rossoblu,” he said in an interview with RMC Sport.
Cruz then spoke on the situation of Inter manager Luciano Spalletti.
“Spalletti? I would keep him in place until the end of the season and see where the team ends up. I know when results are not going the right way that the idea is to change the manager right away but I hope that the club will take more than just the last result into account.”
He concluded by reflecting on Inter’s Coppa Italia exit to Lazio on Sunday night.
“I think Lazio deserved to win. It is not easy to play against Inter at San Siro. I am sorry for Inter because I wanted to see the Milan derby in the Coppa Italia.”
