Inter manager Luciano Spalletti’s time on the bench could soon be coming to an end, at least according to a report from Corriere della Sera.
Inter were eliminated from the Coppa Italia last night at the quarter final stage and several fingers are being pointed at Spalletti who failed to reach the semi-finals of the competition as hoped.
This is the second time Inter have crashed out of a competition earlier than planned following the earlier exit from the Champions League and all Inter have left is the Europa League – a competition where they are expected to go far – and to defend the third place they currently occupy in the league standings.
The Antonio Conte rumours will no doubt also cast a shadow over the future of Spalletti at the helm also. Conte was spotted near Inter headquarters in recent days having allegedly held talks with Inter bosses about succeeding the former Roma manager.
