Inter’s controversial Curva Nord have released a statement in which they attack Kalidou Koulibaly and Inter’s Brothers Universally United initiative.

Tonight’s 1-0 loss at home to Bologna was the first time for three games that they were allowed in the San Siro after their actions during Inter’s 1-0 win over Napoli on boxing day lead Inter to being punished with a stadium closure.

Against Napoli there were audible racists jeers made in the direction of Koulibaly who the ultras claim is lying in their statement.

“We do not care about racism, we go to the stadium to cheer on our players. Koulibaly to us is just a small man who resorts to lies in order to clear his conscience. If he had been white, yellow or blue, we would have behaved the same way towards him.”

They also labelled Inter’s BUU initiative – an initiative Inter launched to show that there was no place for discrimination – as ‘pathetic’.

“As for your BUU initiative, that is just in bad taste. It is a pathetic and fake idea,” the statement concludes.
