In an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, former Milan player Massimo Ambrosini spoke about the current season in Serie A.

“In a league that is dominated at the top by Juventus and with Napoli a close second, the challenge to achieve a Champions League place is becoming wonderful, it’s a really exciting league for sure,” he explained.

“After Inter’s defeat to Bologna, I said that being in third place with a wide margin from fourth may have led the team to become complacent. There were no flashes, changes of pace, the play is too laboured and Icardi is not scoring goals. If they do not kick it up a notch and do not recharge their batteries, they risk being overtaken by Milan and the other teams, but Inter remain structurally strong, with a highly trained and experienced manager.”

“I’m not a fortune teller so don’t know how the Champions League places will look but I what I can say is that both Milan teams are paying close attention to Atalanta, who are the most dangerous rival.”
