Inter management’s decision to fully support Luciano Spalletti in the midst of the difficult run could make all the difference as the team attempt to get back on track in the eyes of Tuttosport.

The decision could have a huge psychological affect on the player, who Spalletti was seemingly losing. With him set to remain in charge, it is hoped that there will not be a repeat of two seasons ago where the team ultimately gave up on then manager Stefano Pioli – who was sacked three games before the end of the season that Inter would finish in seventh place.

Inter’s current situation is also a lot different to when Pioli was in charge. The team is a lot better, Inter are in the Champions League places and have a decent enough lead on those below them.

The Turin based newspaper then went on to suggest where they believe the cracks began to appear for this Inter. The team seemed to take the final group stage match in the Champions League with PSV Eindhoven as a formality and when they failed to achieve their goal of qualification, it really got to the players who then saw very little prospects for the remainder of the campaign.
