Inter legend Christian Vieri is convinced that it will not be long until Inter can return to challenging for the Serie A title.
“I believe that in a couple of years time, Inter can close a large part of the current gap. Besides they are still third. In this year-and-a half with Spalletti in charge, Inter have changed a lot in a positive way and are more solid than in recent years,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
He then spoke on the constant pressure that the Milanese clubs are under to always compete for the league title.
“Unfortunately, in Italy we think Inter and Milan must always have the strength to win the Scudetto. In these last few years neither is equipped to worry Juventus and you can not always put so much pressure on the teams.
“Inter are building an important future for themselves, even from a corporate point of view. Let’s not forget that the Nerazzurri have changed ownership twice after Moratti and Suning have only been here for only two and a half years. It takes time but in Italy this is something they do not allow.”
Next Vieri spoke on comparisons between Ronaldo and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Ronaldo was just pure talent, he made people dream. He was something never seen before. He took the ball and ran at the speed of light, physically speaking, he was a beast. Cristiano is perhaps more complete, a spectacular professional and a player who has won five Balon d’Or.”
