According to a report in Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, a new contract , which will tie Milan Skriniar to the Nerazzurri, should now be considered as done.

There are still some details to be ironed out such as the bonuses and commissions for the agent Karol Csonto, but following the rumours of the last few days, Milan Skriniar appears to have found an agreement for the renewal with Inter.

The parties have reached the agreement for an extension of one year on his current deal to the end of June 2023 with an immediate increase of salary, which will increase from the current €1.7 million net per season to €3 million net per season plus bonuses.

The feeling is that in the event of a transfer to one of the big European clubs, Skriniar could now demand an even higher salary, but in the meantime he is fine where he is, and Inter, who have already secured Godin, have also secured themselves an even stronger position because the new agreement does not include a release clause.

The club absolutely did not want one and the Slovakian did not insist on having it included either. It is seen as a way of putting to bed any doubts after the offers he had received last summer when he was especially of interest to Manchester United and Barcelona.
