Inter’s Spanish midfielder Borja Valero stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia to share his thoughts on the Europa League first leg win away against Rapid Vienna.
“It was important to win. After these past few days we needed to win. Now we need to calm things down and already think about the next match” Borja began analyzing.
The former Fiorentina man was then asked how he has experienced the whole turbulence surrounding Mauro Icardi to which Borja stated that the team was too focused on tonight’s match.
“Luckily we immediately had the match to play tonight and in the end we managed to get the result we wanted and that is what counts. Not having conceded and having scored one was very important. We will see what happens at the San Siro.”
In conclusion Borja was asked how the team will talk with Mauro Icardi tomorrow after the turbulence of the past few days.
“I don’t know, we will try to do so in a very calm way. These things need to stay in the dressing room.”
