Inter match-winner Radja Nainggolan was full of delight when he spoke with Sky Sport following Inter’s 2-1 win over Sampdoria at San Siro.

The Belgian scored the decisive second goal that gave Inter their third straight victory across all competitions, a victory made even more impressive by the chaos at the club during the week.

“The teams behind us are putting the pressure on and we have to do our duty. We are talking too much off the field, we must try to win to remain calm. Hopefully everything will be resolved, because we are united and compact and we want to win,” he explained.

He then spoke on Mauro Icardi, who has been at the centre of the recent controversy at the club and sat out for the second straight game.

“I think he is someone who has always given everything for the club. I hope that he can come back as soon as possible. He has already demonstrated what he is capable of. We also have Lautaro doing well though but we need everyone involved from here to the end of the season.”

The Belgian concluded the interview with the broadcaster by speaking on his own situation.

“On a personal level, I have been having problems but now I am just thinking about playing and doing my best for the team. The most important thing remains the three points. In Europe it becomes beautiful because we are at the stage where there is an elimination at stake. Let’s play the rest of the game this season and see where we end up.”
