It remains to be seen as to who will make the next move in what has turned into a stalemate between Inter and Mauro Icardi, Gazzetta dello Sport detail.
Officially nobody has told the striker to exclude himself and stay away, instead he has chosen to do this himself following being stripped of the Inter captaincy, despite a number of his teammates saying they are waiting with open arms for him to return.
The feeling is that the longer that this stalemate goes on, the worse the damage will be.
This whole situation comes at an important time of the season for Inter who are trying to secure a Champions League place and go deep in the Europa League.
Due to the situation, the Nerazzurri are having to do without the man they have relied on to score goals week in week out for a number of years.
This season Icardi has made 28 appearances across all competitions and has netted 15 goals in the process.
