Inter are among a host of clubs interested in signing Portuguese defender Goncalo Cardoso according to a report from British newspaper Daily Mail.

The Nerazzurri face competition from fellow Italian club Lazio and Premier League outfit Watford for the teenager’s signature.

“The 18-year-old, who plays as a left centre back, is fast becoming one of the most sought-after teenagers in Europe, with a number of clubs monitoring his progress closely,” the Daily Mail write in their report.

Cardoso is currently on the books of Portuguese club Boavista and has cemented a place in their starting eleven this season despite his age.

Cardoso was promoted to the Boavista first team last Summer and he has a contract with the Estadio do Bessa outfit through to the end of the 2020/21 season.

The youngster is currently involved with the Portugal under 19 national team and has made 16 appearances across all competitions this season for Os Axadrezados.
