Mauro Icardi’s former manager at Sampdoria Delio Rossi has shared his opinion on the Inter striker’s current situation at the Nerazzurri.
Icardi was recently stripped of the Inter captaincy and tensions have been extremely high between himself, his wife/agent Wanda Icardi and the club in recent months.
“This situation is a sorry one,” Rossi explained in an interview with Radio Sportiva.
“I think it is wrong to mix professional life with personal life and the problem herein arises when your relative takes care of your business for you as rationality fails.
Rossi gave Icardi his Serie A debut and spoke on the 26-year-old’s development as a player recently.
“He is transforming as a player. He has more technique now and I think he has the characteristics to play in more than one team.”
He concluded: “This whole situation could backfire on him as the big clubs examine every detail of a player…”
