Spalletti Wants To Rediscover Inter’s Defensive Solidarity By Playing Miranda & Cedric

Inter have conceded five goals in their last two games according to a stat in today’s paper edition of Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

This coincides with Spalletti’s decision to change his defensive line up, especially given that their next opponents, Frankfurt, have one of the most lethal attacking lines in European football this season.

The Nerazzurri can not afford to be caught out of form. Of course, Handanovic will start as he did against Cagliari, but then Cedric will come in for D’Ambrosio, and the veteran, Joao Miranda, will replace one of Milan Skriniar or Stefan De Vrij.

Borja Valero and Candreva are also being lined up with a start as the coach believes they offer more in the defensive phase, as opposed to their counter parts.

With defensive stability, Inter must then attack to put themselves in strong position for the reverse fixture in Milan, followed by the Milan derby. Keita will likely remain at home until the weekends fixture against Spal. Meaning, once again, Lautaro will take the place of the injured Mauro Icardi.
