Inter Striker Icardi Could Have Operation To Solve Knee Problem

Corriere dello Sport believe that there is little chance of a resolution being found in the short term for the problems between Inter and Mauro Icardi.

Tensions between the club and Icardi have been at an all time high in recent weeks following Icardi being stripped of the captain’s armband and then refusing to play.

The report goes on to state that on Friday Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta met with the same lawyer who sat in on the meeting between him, Icardi and his wife/agent Wanda.

During that meeting, two recovery path’s were discussed. The first path is a quicker one, aimed at having the 26-year-old Argentine back for next weekend’s Milan derby. The second path concerns a longer road to recovery and this is the path that Icardi seems more orientated towards.

The possibility of Icardi going under the knife to sort his knee problem once and for all has returned but doing so would mean the end of his season and would also mean no chance of going to the Copa America with Argentine in the Summer.
