Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Gelson Fernandes has backed manager Adi Hutter’s decision to rotate the team for last night’s 3-0 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf ahead of their clash with Inter this Thursday in the Europa League.
“Not making any personnel changes wouldn’t have been wise, considering this was our third game in a week,” the Swiss midfielder explained post-match.
“The coach trusts all his players – he proved as much today [yesterday]. All players work hard in training to earn a place in the team. When you can bring on players like Haller and Gacinovic, it is obviously a plus.”
