Inter legend Francesco Colonnese has shared his thoughts ahead of the Nerazzurri’s Europa League round of 16 second leg tie with Eintracht Frankfurt at San Siro tomorrow night.

Going by the former defender’s comments, he certainly appears convinced that Inter can make it to the quarter finals of the competition which he is a previous winner of.

Colonnese was part of Inter’s 1997/98 season UEFA Cup winning squad that beat fellow Italian side Lazio 3-0 in the final in Paris.

“It will be a complicated game for Inter that will have many defections. Inter does not have an attacker who can decide the game,” he explained in an interview with RMC Sport.

“Inter must be able to suffer and if the Nerazzurri play with a certain competitive wickedness they can definitely qualify.

He concluded: “With all due respect to Frankfurt, Inter are a stronger team than them. With determination and wickedness Inter can go on in the competition.”
