Former Milan player Massimo Oddo has shared his thoughts about the two Milanese teams ahead of Sunday’s Milan derby in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The only certainty about Sunday’s game is that Milan will play in a 4-3-3 system because after the whole Mauro Icardi situation, it is difficult to interpret Inter,” he told the Milan based newspaper.
Oddo then compared the Milan derby to the Rome derby, both of which he played in.
“Milan-Inter is a great match but Roma-Lazio, on the other hand, is a religion.”
He was then asked about the possibility of the Milanese clubs knocking San Siro down and building a new ground state-of-the-art ground.
“At San Siro I have so many wonderful memories, but you can’t become a slave to them and stick to the past. In this day and age a top team needs a structure that is befitting of the European elite.”
