In an interview with RMC Sport, former Inter defender Andrea Mandorlini gave his opinion on the latest developments in the seemingly never-ending Mauro Icardi soap opera.
After almost a month training separately from the team, Icardi, who lost the Inter captaincy last month, made a return to training with his Inter teammates at training this morning at Inter’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre.
“For now the Inter fans are happy but I think things will change. I have had to deal with a similar situation where there was a captain who did not behave as he should…”
Mandorlini, who spent seven years on Inter’s books between 1984-1991, then commented on the possibility of an Icardi-Lautaro Martinez striking partnership.
“Right now Inter need help from everyone. The Nerazzurri cannot cling only to Icardi, they will also need the help of El Toro. It may happen that the two play together in the future.”
