According to a report from Sky Sport, Keita Balde was tried at striker today in training ahead of Inter’s match with Lazio this weekend.
Lautaro Martinez sustained an injury on international break and will miss the game while Mauro Icardi is anywhere but near tip top condition due to his prolonged absence with a knee problem.
This has left Inter manager Luciano Spalletti needing to find someone to lead the line and he has appeared to decide that Keita Balde is the man to do just that.
The 24-year-old attacker has made 23 appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri since his arrival from Monaco last Summer in a loan deal that Inter can turn permanent for €34 million.
In 857 minutes on the park, Keita Balde has scored four goals and tallied three assists and his knowledge of Lazio due to being an ex-Lazio player could make a difference on Sunday night.
