Inter winger Keita Balde was interviewed as part of today’s official match day programme and spoke on a range of topics, firstly speaking on his first goal.
“I have always wanted to play in attack, since I was a child. I remember scoring my first goal away at Pescara with the Primavera of Lazio. In that game I also assisted the second goal.” he said.
The Senegalese international then spoke on some of his idols growing up.
“There is a player that I have always admired since my time in La Masia, at Barcelona: Samuel Eto’o. You could see the great respect he had for all his teammates, he had a lot of personality, he was an idol.
“When I was younger and I used to play on the Playstation I always picked Inter. I was crazy about Adriano, Veron and Martins. Adriano then was very strong. In Italy I have always supported Inter.
“I left home when I was 15 and I will tell the truth: it is not easy. You leave so many things behind you, your childhood, your adolescence.
He concluded about explaining how he felt after scoring his first goal for Inter at San Siro.
“My first goal at San Siro? The roar of the fans, to see their explosion of joy was incredible, it is a feeling difficult to explain.”
