Mauro Icardi spent last night’s game against Lazio in the stands but will be called up for Wednesday’s match against Genoa according to a report from Tuttosport.

Icardi has not played for the club in almost two months and was largely expected to be part of the squad for last night’s game however Inter manager Luciano Spalletti had other ideas.

Were he to have been called up last night, even in his condition, who knows how the game could have panned out and Tuttosport believe that Spalletti was the main culprit for the defeat.

His decision not to call Icardi has put a deeper wedge in between himself and Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta who has been hard at work trying to resolve the situation with the Argentine.

The report also goes on to look at Ivan Perisic and his future with the club.

Back in January he submitted a transfer request in a bid to get him his dream move to the Premier League but he was unsuccessful in getting his move. He has now employed the help of Doyen Sports to try and get him that move.

To conclude, Tuttosport criticised Spalletti further for his loyalty to Perisic, even when he is performing poorly as happened last night.
