As part of today’s official matchday programme, former Inter defender Laurent Blanc reflected on his time with the club.
“Joining Inter was a fundamental step in my career. I had been at Napoli and when I arrived in Milan I found a big club, a big family. It has always been like this and I carry the beautiful memories of my time at Inter in my heart. At that time, the Serie A was the best league in the world,” he said.
He then went on to speak about Ronaldo and Christian Vieri.
“Ronaldo and Vieri were incredible players. I am often asked about the best strikers who I have marked but I prefer to concentrate on the two of them because they were very strong as I would rather have them on my team than against me.”
He concluded by sharing his thoughts on the club.
“Of course I have a very good opinion of the club,” he continued. “I have this feeling in me, which I believe is shared by all the former players that when you play for the Nerazzurri you do something special that you will carry with you forever.”
