Among the list of wingers, being courted by Inter for a move this summer, is Ajax’ Hakim Ziyech, at least according to Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
According to the report: “The Moroccan, who has long been a target for Roma. is also liked by everyone at Inter, especially after his impressive displays in the Champions League against Juventus.”
In the coming weeks first contacts will be made to understand the feasibility of the operation, but priority will still be given to Lille’s Nicolas Pepe.
As for Ziyech himself, he has a contract with Ajax that expires at the end of June 2021, but is tempted by the prospect of moving to Italy. The Moroccan has scored 15 goals and made 12 assists in the Eredivisie as well as scoring 4 goals in the Champions League.
These are extremely impressive statistics, but as with all talents from outside of Italy, caution should be taken as this is not always a guarantee of success in the Serie A. He’s also known for his free-kick ability, a skill which is desperately lacking in the Nerazzurri squad.
