Juventus remain interested in signing Mauro Icardi and could offer Gonzalo Higuain plus cash in exchange according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
Recent reports have suggested that Inter and Juventus could exchange Icardi and Paulo Dybala but FCInterNews.it state that this idea has not taken off.
The reason for this is because Dybala, if forced to be sold, would rather a move to England or Spain and because of the different impacts that the swap would have on the balance sheets.
Instead, the Bianconeri will offer Higuain, who is currently on loan at Chelsea. Chelsea have an option to sign him permanently but due to a transfer ban they are unable to take advantage of it therefore Higuain will return to Juve where he is contracted until 2021.
It will all come down to Inter’s leadership who will need to decide whether they wish to bring in an experienced head like Higuain or another striker such as Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku.
