Torino’s current Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi could be the next Sporting Director of AS Roma after Granata owner Urbano Cairo hinted at the possibility in a recent interview.
In today’s newspaper edition of Turin based Tuttosport, this is discussed as is what it could mean for the future of Roma and Inter.
“The Giallorossi continue to work for Antonio Conte, who is also closely linked with Inter. Petrachi is currently focused on ending the season with Torino, with his fingers crossed that they can qualify for European football.”
“Therefore, there won’t be much news until May 26th and Pallotta must be patient in his pursuit of his next coach. Conte is his dream but Chelsea’s Sarri has also been linked to the job and is the ideal profile suggested by Palotta’s trusted adviser Franco Baldini.”
“However, by leaving it late, there is the risk that they end up with a low profile option, such as Gasperini or Giampaolo. Although both are considered good coaches, they have not proven themselves at the highest level.”
