Gazzetta dello Sport believe that after a poor showing against his beloved Roma last week, the true Radja Nainggolan was on show for all to see in last night’s 1-1 Derby D’Italia draw with Juventus.

The Belgian midfielder, who had missed the reverse fixture against his arch enemy, opened the scoring with a spectacular volley from outside the box and had several good moments on the park, particularly when it came to driving forward.

The Milan based newspaper go on to report that they believe Nainggolan was united with the Inter fans through their hatred of Juventus, almost like an anti-Juve pact of sorts and that inspired him to perform how he did in a match where Inter could certainly have ran out winners had they taken their chances.

His wondergoal last night was his fifth league goal and sixth overall for the season, a season where he has made 32 appearances across all competitions, despite spending a considerable time out with various injuries.
