Inter TV presenter Astrid Ericsson appeared as a guest on Canale 5 show Tiki Taka last night and shared her views on why Mauro Icardi started over Lautaro Martinez in Saturday’s Derby D’Italia draw against Juventus at San Siro.
“The fact that Mauro played over Lautaro could be dictated by the fact that Inter want him to show off so they can sell him,” she remarked.
Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara is a regular on the show and was present when Ericsson made her comments and did not take too kindly to suggestions Inter were trying to move her husband on.
“I don’t understand what you mean, is it Mauro or Lautaro,” the outspoken Argentine snapped back at Ericsson.
Reports on the future of Icardi at the club are rife with many of the belief that Inter will almost certainly sell the 26-year-old given all the off-field controversy he and Wanda created during the course of the season.
